Job description

In the role of Data Management Consultant at Planon, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping our data management landscape and managing BI reports. Working closely with other professionals within the Information Management Department, your tasks will involve securing data governance, enhancing data quality, analyzing data, and crafting Business Intelligence insights that are clear, actionable, and aligned with our corporate strategic objectives. Your role will also cover areas such as AI and Product Data Management, showcasing your broad skill set in a dynamic environment.

 

You successfully fulfil your role by:

 

  • You will champion the integration of data quality and new business insights into the daily activities of employees, ensuring ongoing improvement, revision, and maintenance of current Business Insights.
  • You will lead data quality improvement initiatives within existing systems such as Salesforce, Certinia, Exact Globe, LucaNet, and Jira.
  • As a trusted advisor, your colleagues within Information Management will consult you about the impacts on BI and Data Quality before initiating process improvements.
  • You will be a key player in elevating Data Management as a critical agenda item within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Define the current data landscape and develop future data architectures, including data models across key data domains like Customers, Products, Suppliers, etc.
  • Create data project roadmaps, detailing the translation of business requirements into solution designs and target operating models.
  • Establish data requirements for various functional areas to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate commercial product data management, you will ensure all relevant information flows smoothly between departments and systems.
  • Provide expert advice on Master Data Management (MDM), enhancing both operations and systems through strategic data handling.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams across the globe, with Nijmegen as your base location.

Our ideal candidate:

 

  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s or higher degree in ICT & Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience of at least 2 years in data management or a closely related field, with demonstrated success in designing and implementing data management solutions.
  • Proven experience in Power BI enterprise solution development, including semantic models, composite models, report and dashboard creation, DAX, and Power Query & strong understanding of dimensional modelling principles and experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of data processing, data architecture, and BI best practices. Advanced skills in Power BI. Proficient in SQL and knowledge in Fabric, Cloud, Azure, Python is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at data storytelling and influencing decisions through insights. Collaborative team player able to work effectively across technical and business teams.
